I installed BlueStacks into my computer and opened it. When it asked me to allow an extension it needed in order for it to be used, I went to system preferences to allow the extension but it wasn't there. This same thing also happened for malware bytes and a few other things and I couldn't figure it out. You will now be asked to restart your device to begin using BlueStacks on macOS 11 Big Sur. Click on 'Restart' to proceed. NOTE: You will need to restart your Mac only once. Once you do this, you can start using BlueStacks on macOS 11 Big Sur. You may receive the message shown below, which will prevent you from restarting.
At present BlueStacks is not supported on MacOS Big Sur. Our future release may have the fix of this. MacOS Monterey beta 5: 'Your Mac is running the latest software update allowed by your administrator' - I'm the admin of the mac Bug I'm the admin of my mac and until beta 4, it was just normal update message, but now it shows 'Your Mac is running the latest software update allowed by your administrator' on software update section (on beta 5).
How To Download Bluestacks On Mac Big Sur
In macOS Catalina, when my enterprise app (MyApp) tries to access Desktop folder first time, user would get prompt message '<MyApp> would like to access files in your Desktop folder
' and once user clicks OK, MyApp entry can be seen in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Files and Folders and MyApp will be able to access Desktop folder without any issues.With Big Sur Beta, I don't see above prompt and I can't also manually add/update MyApp entry in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Files and Folders. The only entry I can see for MyApp is in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Full Disk Access which is disabled by default. Once I manually enable this FDA (Full Disk Access) setting, MyApp starts working properly.
Since I couldn't get much related info from Beta release notes, I would like to know whether there are major changes w.r.t. app access in Big Sur? Is FDA enable the only option for app access or can we have more granular control (i.e., allow access only to Desktop folder)?
